My first ever vegetarian restaurant.

I am not a fan of veggies.

I will eat them when I am invited somewhere but I cook them rarely. Unless they are in a spicy sauce as we do in West Africa.

Knowing that, one of my colleagues invited me to try a greaaat (according to her of course) restaurant in Zurich.

The food lover that I am couldn't resist so I said yes🤗.

That day we left work on time and went to the Marktkuche.

On the way my colleague told me that it is a vegetarian restaurant. What a surprise😮.

So I tried to leave my prejudices aside and enjoy the new experiment. 

This restaurant which is in the Gault Millau impressed me from the entrance.

The decoration is simple but cosy and I felt like in a cocon.

We were welcomed by Jasmin who was at our disposal throughout the dinner. 

Which brings me to the 1st point. 

The Service

The service is professional but very friendly. As soon as our waitress noticed that I was not speaking German (because yes, even if I am learning I am still not that good), she brought me an English menu. 

She advised us well concerning the wine choice to go with our dishes and at arrival, all dishes were presented to us and that added a plus to our experience. 

The Food

So as you can guess I was very excited to see what will be presented to me. 

In fact, it was a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

The first course

I can confirm that I was surprised to see how nice it was. The presentation of the dishes, the colors, the texture. Everything was just great. You could feel the freshness of the products. 

As a starter I had a pumpkin surprise. It really was a surprise. It was a mix of savour in my mouth.

It was warm and also cold and there was the surprise which was a melting ice cream. 😍😍

As main dish, I had a veggie mix made with beets, carrots, brocolis and some nuts.

During the whole meal, at no point I missed meat or fish.

The Price

As the restaurant is ranked in the Gault Millau, I was expecting a quite high price. But for all that we had the prices were OK. OK for a Swiss restaurant. We paid in total less than CHF 200 for 2 people with drinks included. 

The Place

The restaurant is located on Feldstrasse 98, 8004 Zürich, not far from Hardbrücke Station. You can reach the main train station in Zurich in 20 minutes which is convenient. 

The whole experience was for me a moment of happiness. 

Happiness for my taste buds and pupils.
